Lovely Sunny Day

The three of us at the Cain household love this song.  And the people that sing it.

Enjoy :)

Re-Evaluation 2013 and on to 2014

We shall commence by reviewing last year's goals and evaluate.

2013
1.  Read the Doctrine & Covenants all the way through.
  • Mission accomplished.  Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
2.  Spend lots and lots of time with my hubby and adorable son.
  •  Seems I can't get enough of them.
3.  Fix up the house (mostly the kitchen and our bedroom).
  •  Completed during the early summer.  I LOVE OUR BEDROOM.  So cute (thanks babe:*)

4.  Organize my recipes.
  • EPIC FAIL.  I did somewhat organize them.  Just not into a book.  All in time right?
5.  Stay in the budget we set!
  • This was off and  on.  Some months were fine and others not so much.  December never should count.
6.  Get to back my pre-pregnancy weight (that means losing 20 pounds), and then...
  • 10lbs down, 10lbs to go.  (I found a goal for 2014...)
7.  My goal weight (20 more pounds)!  I can do it ;)
  •  I didn't do it.
8.  Read lots and LOTS of books!
  • I didn't read as many as I would've liked.  But I definitely read more than last year.  And thanks to the awesome gals in my superfluously fun book club, I'll read even more this year.
9.  Go to the temple every month with my lover.
  • We only missed one month - November - we chose to spend time with the family.
10. Make the most of everyday.
  • I feel this will always be a work in progress.  Some days I did great, other days I would curl up in a ball and wish away the week.

Now on to 2014:
 1.  Read the Old Testament.
 2.  Organize my recipes - I really need to do this.  It would be so nice.
 3.  Plan a bi-weekly menu, 2x a month.
 4.  Laugh with my family every day.
 5.  Make my husband fall in love with me all over again.
 6.  Read even more books - I'd like to read 30 (or more).
 7.  Shed 10 lbs.
 8.  Go on many hikes with my family.
 9.  Again - temple attendance every month.
 10. Be happy with myself.

Ok.  Deep breath.  I got this...

UMCA/VoiceMale

This year I was able to go to the Annual Utah Municipal Clerks Association Training in Cedar City.  It was pretty fun.  I was able to learn lots.  But my favorite part was getting my picture taken with these awesome guys.

VOICEMALE!!!

I remember when they first became VoiceMale - seeing them at the Ogden River Parkway with my sisters when I was a wee lass.  Finally after 16 years I got to meet them.  It was awesome.  They are so much fun.

So moral of the story - Trainings can be great, but even greater if you get to meet VoiceMale.

gatsby & tardis

First off - this movie turned out so awesome. Genius.  Baz Luhrmann did an excellent job.

And now the real reason for this post - I've become a WHOVIAN and I don't think I can ever go back.
